Description & Requirements

Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the H&S service and the safety performance within the allocated divisions and projects in accordance with Gammon objectives.
To direct, support, and mentor the H&S team in pursuit of these objectives.
To develop a beneficial and mutually supportive relationship with Senior Managers in the project and together regularly review performance, identify areas in need of improvement, develop and implement appropriate action which will consistently deliver the required standards on our projects.
To lead the significant accident investigations within the divisions and to provide substantiated fact, analysis and improvement measures that are practical and effective.
Work with Safety Managers and operations teams to develop and extend an open working relationship that encourages reporting analysis and improvement as a genuine learning opportunity.
Requirements: 


Higher Diploma or above in occupational safety and health, science or engineering subjects, preferably with relevant professional qualifications.
Registered Safety Officer & Safety Auditor a must.
At least 10 years relevant experience in the construction industry.
Strong sense of safety awareness.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Able to work under pressure.
